So I begin! I have had so many people recommend I start a blog about all that has happened and all that lies ahead. 2011 is quite a year! I am in the process of leaving an amazing, full life in Windsor to move with Joe and Alex to Hong Kong. I am about to have my first empty nest experience when I take my "baby girl" Melanie to college in Portland, Oregon just prior to my move. I am about to experience "Back to School" knowing I won't be returning to my beloved job as a Paraeducator. I am in the midst of my second month away from Joe and Alex since they relocated June 28, so Joe could start his new job on June 30, 2011. I've never been away from my 15 year old son for that long and it is very uncomfortable. Alex will be starting orientation and school as of August 16, and I don't arrive until August 30. This is all different and new. Not bad, just very different from the way I am used to participating in things.
One of these events at a time is a lot to handle. All of them, at once, can be overwhelming! So I am going to write about it! To help me remember it all, gain perspective, vent, share and help me figure it all out. Friends and family are so excited and supportive and want to know what is going on, so I am hoping this is one way to do that. This may be a way for them to join us on this journey or they may just get to hear me whine! They will definitely find out how much we love the people who are in our life. That will never change! And so it begins...
